Climbing
The area has one of Europe's most favourable climates for year round climbing. There are bolted and traditional climbs of all grades within easy reach of both our villas.
The Costa Blanca is the largest and most popular area in Spain for visiting climbers from all over Europe. The wealth and variety of climbing in the area is truly staggering and
for every partially developed crag there are at least two other slightly less accessible ones which haven’t been touched yet. But it is the variety in the climbing which keeps people coming back here. It is not just roadside clip-ups since there are huge routes on the Puig Campana, and in the Echo Valley, and majestic, fully-bolted, multi-pitch extravaganzas on places like the Peñón and the Ponoch. You can switch from doing a long route in the mountains on one day to ticking a dozen routes on a crag three minutes from the car on the next.

The Costa Blanca has an excellent climate during the winter months, probably the best time is Spring when you can be fairly sure of plenty of good climbing and a sun tan. The Costa Blanca has become renowned as Europe’s premier winter sun rock venue with a great climate.
There are some excellent local guide books around, with routes and grades available, so you can plan your activity well. Most routes are single pitch and ideal for beginners, although there are plenty of tough routes around for the more experienced climber. Check out www.rockfax.com to purchase your fantastic climbing guides for the Costa Blanca area.
Beginners are most welcome and assisted climbs can be arranged, where you are collected and taken to your climb, with a guide.  Please enquire for more details.
